Casey Neistat was a troubled youth both in and out of school. His parents kicked him out of the house and he dropped out of high school. He became a teen father living on welfare out o a trailer working as a dish washer earning $8 an hour. All and all the man was pretty lost in life until he discovered videography in his late teens – from there he became hooked. When his girlfriend dumped him he made the move to New York City with little to his name and no education or work experience things were a grind but he ginded it out found work and in his spare time he spent every minute of free time shooting and editing videos. He first found success with short films including 2003’s ‘IPhone’s Dirty Little Secret’ which led to work on HBO in a show made in his name, then in 2010 he decided to make YouTube his main platform and in 2015 things would take off again for him there.
