Guest Episode - Dr. Lucy Kalanithi

Dr. Lucy Kalanithi is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University and an advocate for culture change around healthcare value. She is the widow of Dr. Paul Kalanithi, author of the #1 New York Times-bestselling memoir When Breath Becomes Air, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and translated into more than 40 languages, and for which she wrote the epilogue. We are so honored to have Lucy on the BTC podcast to share her story. In the midst of tragedy, Lucy learned how to not avoid suffering. We can give her our undivided attention and take a page from her "book" as she experienced Paul's story in real time.  Enjoy!  Cup of Joe: https://cupofjo.com/ Paul Kalanithi NY Times Essay: https://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/25/opinion/sunday/how-long-have-i-got-left.html Brené Brown Empathy Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Evwgu369Jw --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/btcbookclubpodcast/support
