Bside Incoming: Andrea Montalto (Club Mediterraneo) We’re very pleased to welcome the incredible Andrea Montalto back to the Bside Podcast, making Bside history as the first double booking. His last appearance was a master class of the mellow live at the Bside HQ, this time, however he’s sending us the good vibes all the way from Sicily. Andrea remains an integral part of the Edinburgh scene, as a co-founder of the city’s leading community radio station EHFM, a record dealer, and resident of the Cowgate’s finest establishment Sneaky Pete’s. These accolades earning him the right to share the decks with very best: Young Marco, Gilles Peterson, Stump Valley, and Nu Guinea. Now back in Italy, his radio career continues with Mondonero and he will soon be managing Malamore Records from June. We’re always excited to hear where Andrea Montalto’s selection will take us and we were not disappointed! In contrast to the ambient mood of his live podcast, we get a glimpse into the jazzy/Italo/Afro infused disco energy he can bring to the party. Enjoy!
