Bside Incoming: Posture This episode comes from yet another incredible artist from down-under. A stalwart of Sydney’s underground scene, an avid record collector, and a calming presence for our lockdown lives. The midweek instalment of the Bside Podcast is brought to you by Posture! He’s a co-owner of Velodrome recordings, a party series and record label which although in it’s infancy shows great promise. Its releases include ‘Zoom Dates’ an energetic electro single from the man himself, as well as Unpin’s crazy Soy Piccolo EP. His service to Sydney also includes a fortnightly appearance on Nomad Radio and the creation of some of the city's most impressive parties, by placing local talent at the forefront: Andy Garvey, Tiago, Turner Street Sound and many more. It was a pleasure to take a peak into Posture’s record collection, to have such a knowledgable selector transport us to his homeland through the unparalleled emotional power of music. A special mention to the barren and beautiful expanses of Australia evoked by Waak Waak Djungi with an ingenious/electronic hybrid. Truly incredible! The whole episode is tinted with a soothing mood offset by a nervous energy that rings throughout, calming yet constantly engaging. The mixtape builds so nicely, that by the time we reach the heavy techno of Illian Tape or Unpin's mad jungle track, it seems almost as relaxing as the opening ambiance of the episode.
