Bside Incoming: Rhode & Brown First of all, happy New year from us at Bside! We have a lot up our sleeve for the year, first to note we have now moved to 2 shows a week - releasing on both a Sunday and now a Wednesday. We welcome 2021 with more German selectors to the Bside Incoming Podcast series which is attracting international artists of an ever higher calibre. Munich based Friedrich Trede and Stephan Braun are friends, avid record collectors, creative producers, record label owners (Slam City Jams) and impressive DJs. Their artistic lives collided in 2010 and the world has since been lucky enough to have: Rhode & Brown. Renowned for house music, but infused with a multitude of influences ranging from soul music to downtempo electro. Their style is a warm and inviting energy that proves to be irresistible. No wonder then that their Bside selection is as impressive as everything else they’ve produced, be it DJ sets or an increasing range of amazing music. They have released an array of music on Toy Tonics, Permanent Vacation, Shall Not Fade and their own Slam City Jams. Featuring also as part of the Toy Tonics Jams events across Europe alongside some of the usual suspects: Kapote, COEO and other artists from the label. Many cherished records and bargain gems, a soothing intro followed by electro hip hop, scintillating vocals, lots of synthy beats and post punky rhythms. Enjoy!
