CORE #01 - 7 Thoughts on Discussing Arguments and Evidence

Classical Theism Podcast - En podcast af John DeRosa

7 Thoughts on Discussing Arguments and Evidence In this episode, I discuss the following 7 thoughts. Assertions, even bold ones, are not arguments. The quality of evidence is not to be judged solely by how it is received. Faith is a gift, but evidence is not worthless. Religious beliefs are not mere preference or personal opinion. There are different kinds of arguments you can make. Distinguish the arguments from the people making the arguments. Whenever possible, ask questions rather than make statements, at least initially.   The Classical Theism Podcast aims to defend Catholic Christian ideas in conversation. With the help of various guests, I defend three pillars of the Catholic Christian worldview: (1) the God of classical theism exists, (2) Jesus is our Messiah and Lord, and (3) He founded the Catholic Church. We place a strong emphasis on the first pillar, defending classical theism, drawing upon the work of Thomistic philosopher Dr. Edward Feser and many others. John DeRosa [email protected]
