As a woman leader in the construction industry, creating a culture of value and creativity for other women has been a newfound dream of hers, she says she GETS to do this every day!! Christi Powell has worked in the commercial and residential construction industry for over 30 years and is currently the Women's Business Enterprise Lead for 84 Lumber Company. A large part of Christi’s success comes from her communication, business acumen, and supporting businesses with compassion. She finds fulfillment in making an impact with inclusivity in the construction, manufacturing, and industrial industries. Christi holds several National awards such as Women of influence, WBE Advocate of the year, Groundbreakers, Business Excellence, and Changemaker. She serves on several boards to increase awareness of the value of women needed in the industry while bringing her business acumen and strong leadership skills to support change. She is the co-host of Women Talk Construction, a podcast highlighting women and men supporting women in non-traditional roles. The website includes a forum where her large network of incredible women and men can connect. She is also the Co-founder of Women Confidence Builders, a non-profit event building confidence, encouraging mentorship, and creating a unity with all people.   Angela’s Bio Angela brings nearly three decades of industry-specific experience in construction, engineering, and architecture with expert knowledge in strategic and operational management to her role. Her main responsibilities include community involvement, memberships, social media, business development, workforce development, and marketing. Community service is a hallmark and natural extension of Angela’s life and work, serving as the co-founder of the Women Construction Forum, Upstate SC, and Women Talk Construction (podcast co-host). She is also a member of Women in Manufacturing, CREW Network, Upstate SC Alliance, SCBio, Development Corporation of Anderson County, and Anderson Chamber. She has served on numerous boards and committees throughout her career.
