A new Taylor Swift class has begun at BYU. The class is focused on the "Philosophy of Taylor Swift." The professor calls this "philoswiftie." Is this too superficial for a serious university, or is it a good way to bring students into a deeper discipline and meaningful, learning discussions? The professor seems to be obsessed with Taylor Swift and he has gone to three concerts in the last year alone, has a full-size cutout of the leggy pop star in his office, and tries to incorporate her lyrics into all of his discussions.
