Demar Hamlin's Traumatic Injury and the Nation's Prayerful Response - Dr. Kathy Koch with Melissa Hannigan on Leading in Times of Trauma - Facing the Dark Ep. 003

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest during Monday Night Football. The injury stopped the game as Hamlin received CPR on the field. Eventually, coaches, game officials, and the National Football League called for the game to be postponed. Hamlin was taken to a nearby hospital where he currently is in critical condition as fans hold prayer vigils outside.  The nationally televised game was a jarring experience for many fans, and has gripped the heart of many athletes around the world. Immediate calls for prayer and well-wishes for Demar and his family have been followed by continual encouragement for the nation to pray and hope for Demar's health to improve. Naturally, we hope and pray for the same, but why do many call for prayers who don't believe or follow the teachings of the God of the Bible? And how should adults lead in times of tragedy when we may be emotional as well? Dr. Kathy and family expert Melissa Hannigan explore this and other topics on today's podcast.
