This week we're looking forward, to both Apple and Google's big summer events and the prospect of a Twitter freed from the shackles of permanence. Or something like that. Apple has finally confirmed the dates for its annual WWDC event, taking place in early June, so there's no better to excuse to look ahead to what to expect, with both iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 set to debut, along with other software and likely a hardware announcement or two. Google will beat Cupertino to the punch though. Its Google I/O developer conference is set for May, and alongside more of Android 13 we're expecting to see the Pixel 6a debut, perhaps alongside a tease of the Pixel Watch - and maybe even our first Pixel foldable. Finally, Twitter has had a tumultuous week. First the world's richest man decided to buy the largest stake in the social network site for a few billion dollars, and then (perhaps not coincidentally) Twitter revealed it's working on the long-requested edit button feature. Hannah thinks a Twitter edit button would be disastrous - but will the rest of us agree? This podcast is produced by Foundry.
