No Russ, no fuss (guest: Brian Drake)

Dr. Deepak Chona (@SportMDAnalysis) kicks off this week’s show with an injury update, and then host Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF) is joined by Brian Drake (@DrakeFantasy) managing editor of Fighting Chance Fantasy and host of the Fantasy Football Hustle podcast. Brian and Pat talk about the catastrophic Russell Wilson deal for the Broncos and try to assess the value of Denver’s pass catchers. They also examine the D.J. Moore/Sam Darnold reunion and try to figure out if Moore will be a trustworthy fantasy asset the rest of the way. If you have some FAAB money to burn and a screaming need at RB, who should you go after this week after injuries to Travis Etienne and Michael Carter -- Darrell Henderson, JaMycal Hasty, Zonovan Knight, or Ty Johnson? Brian and Pat weigh in, and they also take an early look at the candidates for pick 1.01 in 2023 fantasy drafts since there doesn’t appear to be a consensus No. 1 at the moment. Brian talks about his musical tastes and his in-laws’ fervor for the Beatles. Brian and Pat also talk about holiday drinks and Syracuse basketball, and Brian offers an opinion on Syracuse RB prospect Sean Tucker. Brian and Pat try to figure out what the Buccaneers’ backfield will look like when Leonard Fournette returns from his hip injury. They also discuss D’Andre Swift, Dameon Pierce, and Gabriel Davis. Brian sizes up the prospects for his high-powered Scott Fish Bowl team and names some of his biggest hits and misses of 2022.
