Women in the music industry with singer-songwriter Hattie Webb

This week Lynne talks to her friend the singer-songwriter and harpist, Hattie Webb about her experiences as an artist and as a woman in the music industry. Playing music with her sister Charley since they were children, The Webb Sisters were chosen by Leonard Cohen to join his international tour, performing over 400 concerts around the world to 5 million people. Hattie has also collaborated with Sting, recorded with The Lumineers, and toured with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Hattie is an amazing musician in her own right, having released her first solo album To The Bone in 2017 which was critically acclaimed and what Leonard Cohen called “Flawless, uplifting and utterly original”. She is now working on her second solo album ‘Wild Medicine’ which is due out in the fall. Discussing stories from her time touring the world, to her work as an ambassador for the organization AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse), this episode also includes a very special performance of Hattie’s new song Wild Medicine, which is the inspiration for this week's SEED exercise. Hattie's music and work can be explored on her website. Her new film and song “Never Just Your Daughters” released on International Women's Day 2021 can be found at hattiewebbmusic.com/media or watched on YouTube .
