Founder Megan Chen on Environmental Sustainability and Launching a Nonprofit

Megan Chen is a junior from Newark, Delaware. She is passionate about environmental justice, racial equality, and women’s rights. She is the Founder and Executive Director at The Urban Garden Initiative, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that focuses on environmental, sustainability, and gardening education. She is also the author of the children’s book Finding Tiger that addresses the issues of implicit bias and stereotyping and avid lover of music and the arts. Megan hopes to pursue a field in social entrepreneurship and public policy and continue to help serve her community everyday.
