MARK WILLIAMS - One Dads Story of Coming Back From Post Natal Depression

My guest today is Founder of Fathers Reaching out and International Fathers Mental Health Day - Mark Williams Very little attention is given to Dads that suffer from Post Natal Depression but it's a condition that is now being recognised far more than it was in the past. Mark suffered from it after the birth of his son and feeling that he could not speak to anyone about how he was feeling it led to a breakdown. Mark is passionate about speaking on Dads mental health issues and is recognised worldwide for his expertise in this area. On this episode we discuss: How Mark suffered from low self esteem and anxiety and how he used to medicate how he felt by going to the pub The massive impact being a part of a youth club in his teens had on his confidence and self belief How witnessing trauma on the birth of his son sent him into a spiral of post natal depression Why he feels Dads struggle to get help and the amazing work he does to raise awareness and knowledge around the area of Perinatal Health in Dads. **To grab a FREE copy of my new e-book The Dad Blueprint click here** Get involved and find out more To get involved with the conversation on social media we are on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter If you want to join the Guild of Dads you can do so via our Facebook Group Episode show notes can be found on our website If you like what we are doing, leave a rating and review here --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/joe-horton/message
