The Bloody Benders

Horrifying History - En podcast af Horrifying History - Onsdage

When I was a young girl, I read all of the Laura Ingalls Wilder “Little House” books. I was enchanted by the tales of young Laura who’s family had great adventures, while protecting and supporting each other. I felt a kinship with this girl, since I grew up on a farm in the Canadian prairies. I knew from personal experience how physically hard farming could be, and I could only imagine how difficult it would be to grow up during those times. I also saw my own father in the character of Charles Ingalls. He was a strong man, who loved his family. He would do anything to help protect those he loved. So imagine my surprise when I recently discovered that Pa Ingalls may have killed some people. Just a heads up here, today we will be talking about murder…a lot of murder.
