Meet your hosts: Izzy and Gina

Welcome to our new podcast for all stitchers, embroiderers, textile artists and creative souls, where we have friendly informal conversations about what it actually means to be an artist working in textiles, with your hosts Izzy Moore and Gina Ferrari.  We are both practising artists and tutors specialising in machine embroidery, but we’re still figuring it all out! We chat about combining the creative process with running a business and hope that you will find inspiration and support for your own creative journeys. In this episode we talk about how we started on our creative journeys, how we met, and whose idea it was to start a podcast! If you're interested in our online teaching, Gina's Free Machining Fun courses are open for you to join, and Izzy's Beautiful Baubles course is open until Christmas. We both have new courses in the pipeline, so please sign up for our newsletters to find out more! You can sign up to Gina's newsletter here, and Izzy's here.  There have been changes at Missenden Abbey where we both learned how to do machine embroidery by taking a level 1 City & Guilds but The Missenden School of Creative Arts still run a wide variety of arts and crafts courses as day classes, residential weekends and summer schools. And Thrive, the horticultural therapy charity that Izzy mentioned, is still...thriving!  The music is Dear Autumn by Ikson and you can find it at https://soundcloud.com/ikson. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/izzyandginainstitches/message
