12 Nov 2020: Just how important is vine age in Burgundy? Producers like to wax lyrical about their Vieilles Vignes and the received wisdom is that old vines make for more concentrated wines. We will test thus out with 6 beautiful Burgundies all made from vines planted before the Second World War, so at least 89 years old.
