hijabi human rights and confronting discrimination

This week I got to speak with the inspiring Sanaa Ghanim (@_sanaaghanim_). Sanaa is a Human Rights major, currently attending SMU Law School, she is the Founder of giveapencil (@giveapencildfw), which is a non-profit in DFW that is dedicated to securing the human right to education. Sanaa has also written an article about the misperceived image of Palestinians in Texas schools, which has been published in the Houston Chronicle. Sanaa and I had such powerful conversations about hijabis becoming aware of their human rights during a hijab ban, confronting discrimination in the workforce, maintaining bold in your hijab, and to simply remember that women wearing the hijab are NOT the problem, but rather those who are discriminating against us.  - Instagram: @journalhijabi⠀ - Hosted and created by @sereenqader⠀⠀ - Email for Inquiries: [email protected]⠀⠀ - Guests Instagram: @_sanaaghanim_ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Thank you guys for tuning in and spending this time to listen to this episode.
