We recently did a survey on our IG page and 75% of the lash artist who responded said they use distilled water when they rinse their client's lashes. That number caught us by surprise. Now we know the industry in the last few years has warmed up to the idea that they can rinse their client's lashes but we didn't know that lash artists mostly use distilled water when they do. While distilled water is best for your nano mister or your humidifier, it is not the best option for rinsing your client's lashes because it is quite uncomfortable for their eyes. Why is that? Great question! This is what we unpack in today's episode. In this episode, we'll explain some of the science behind why saline is a much better choice when it comes to rinsing your client's lashes and why you don't need to worry about the "salt" in the saline.
