On June 21st, 2007 Kimberly Compton Whitton and her eleven-year-old daughter, Haleigh Culwell, vanished without a trace from their home in Section, Alabama.   Kim's husband Barry Van Whitton claimed they rode off into the sunset to start a new life in Montana. Law enforcement officials immediately doubted that story.
