In the second of a 3-part podcast on breaking spells and considering territories of the feminine, Michael Meade delves deeper into the story of The Half–giantess.  Psychologically, this story stirs the "mother complex", the great complexity in which the archetypal mother overlaps and can become fused with the human mother. Unless the spells between mother and child are broken, a person cannot learn who they are in life or discover what the world requires of them.

How men view mothers, as well as the feminine within them, can affect an entire culture.  Denying the presence and importance of the inner feminine leads men to undervalue women and be dismissive of the importance of the feminine in all areas of life.
