Episode 147 - Chaos, Climate, Ritual

Living Myth - En podcast af Michael Meade - Onsdage

Michael Meade describes a recent workshop aimed at climate crisis issues that was suddenly interrupted by alerts warning that nearby areas had to be evacuated because of climate-induced fires. As the outside problem also became an inside issue, some people in the event had to return to their homes prior to evacuating the area. In order to not wind up in confusion and overwhelm, a ritual was created.

Describing the ritual, Meade focuses on ideas of how to create “sudden community,” how to protect those facing danger, and how to ground the anxiety and fear that have become all too familiar in these days of cultural disorder and the upheaval of nature.
