Many people will feel this pain increase the longer they sit, bending forward in the morning to put socks and shoes on, or stiffness standing up after sitting long periods. Lumbar disc herniations can cause sciatica if they are pressing on the nerve root causing nerve impingement. This is a very common source of leg pain or sciatic nerve pain, and just so happens to be what almost all of our clients in our online low back program are suffering with.
