From a biological, evolutionary standpoint our brain pushes us to move to help our ability to survive by scavenging for food or finding needed resources. The way it does this is by releasing dopamine when you exercise or move which feels good to us and makes us want to do it more! Dopamine, therefore, encourages us to move more which increases our ability to learn, our memory, and our processing speed to further improve our chances of survival. In return, this keeps your brain healthy and maintains brain tissue for years to come to ensure your brain's function. In summary: movement and exercise make you a superior version of yourself not only physically, but mentally as well and your brain and body feed each other to continue this ideal environment!
