Returning to any sport after a low back injury can be tough. Disc herniations, sciatica, or just general low back pain affects anything and everything we do, and just when we start to feel better we try and return to the things we love, and BOOM, another flare-up! Well, this is where you are going wrong. When the pain is gone is when the real rehab begins. The second pain is gone it does not mean your low back or nerve can handle what it used to, it means now you have the opportunity to slowly grade yourself back into these things with the right structured plan. If you rush your rehab and have a false notion that no pain=no problem and you prematurely resume activities you can't handle then you will be in a perpetual state of flare-ups!
