But not always for back pain. Yes yoga promotes movement and mindfulness, 2 things everyone needs more of. However, with serious low back issues such as disc herniations or sciatica there are often some movements that are really good for that person, and some movements that are not so good. Yoga encompasses many different movements, so in 1 yoga session they might also perform some movements that aren't so good for them at that time! Low back issues require a specific professional approach, and simply going to a shot-gun approach of "just do yoga" is not a plan for your low back pain!
