The BEST Approach to Low Back Pain | Episode 7

Low Back Pain Podcast - En podcast af Dr. Grant Elliott - Fredage

Dr. Grant Elliott with RehabFix Online Low Back Program: Weak glute? Uneven hip? Tight QL? 1 quad bigger than the other? These are a few of MANY things I hear clients of mine have been told as to why they are suffering from low back pain. This is NOT a good approach to low back pain as it "segments" the individual and creates multiple problems instead of focusing on the big picture. Rather than focusing on someone's overall movement restrictions and daily habits, they are told to focus on specific asymmetries that may not even have the potential to change! This causes them to obsess over multiple individual areas, and what can happen is that if these specific things don't change then they may feel like their low back pain won't change. This is a TRAP! I have literally had online clients that doubled their range of motion, and decreased their pain by 50% within 2 weeks of my online low back program, but will say things like "Ya I feel good, but I think my hips are still uneven so I don't think I'm actually better." NO! This is the trap I am talking about! Let's focus on your function, how you feel, and what you are able to do. Forget about these irrelevant, specific things you've been told as to why you have low back issues, and let's focus on the big picture. This is the BEST approach for low back pain to get your mind in the right place and to focus on what matters! I have linked below an article I wrote on this very topic, and if you are struggling to find the right help be sure to apply for my online low back program using the link below!   Segmented Article: https://www.therehabfix.com/post/are-you-being-segmented-by-your-healthcare-provider-words-can-be-harmful To view hundreds of free low back videos please follow us on instagram at www.instagram.com/rehabfix and to learn more about how we can work together to fix your low back online please visit www.therehabfix.com/low-back-program
