One of my biggest priorities in uniform is doing my best to remain feminine + confident. Whether on a ship or running around in an office in boots, the usually last thing you feel is “beautiful.” There are always little, tiny things you can do to keep yourself feeling confident. It’s important boost your personal morale no matter where you're serving in the fleet. Starting back to when I was a plebe (freshman) at the Naval Academy in 2010, I looked for creative ways to feel feminine + girly in uniform while still maintaining military standards.
