MNMT 11: Jesse Jakob

Welcome to the Monument Podcast number 11. Today’s guest is none other than @jesse-jakob, a techno pioneer from Minneapolis USA. He started off as one of the founders and resident DJ’s at Black, a prominent house and techno club in the city. His passion for this underground scene naturally led him to consider music production. The result of this became his Time Resistance EP on Traut Muzik. This was his first contribution to the techno community. He is will soon be releasing his second EP on Mindtrip Music. This is something we all are looking forward to. We did not get a tracklist for this episode and when we asked for one, Jesse replied: “It’s nice to leave a little to the imagination”. We totally agree and respect that. Techno sets shouldn’t only be about the track’s but the journey the artist or dj creates in the small time space. Think about that!
