Episode 10 - The Science of Carrying

My good friend Zoë Woodman joins me this week as she shares her amazing research into the Science of Carrying. With a degree in Psychology and her Carrying training, she is uniquely positioned to be able to draw links between the academic world (as more and more research is done on infant development) and the impact carrying has upon our young. We discuss brain plasticity, how to build happier brains, the anthropological evidence of how carrying is cemented in our ancestry, the impact carrying and close touch have upon Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how carrying naturally leads to a more responsive parent and therefore deepens the bond between parent and child. https://www.theslingconsultancy.co.uk/I apologise for the sound quality in this episode, I realised at the end I'd knocked a dial on my mixer - I've tried to fix as best I can.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/motherrucker.
