SHOW #326 Michael Frank was entranced by the Blues as a teen and moved to Chicago after college.  There he met many of the Bluesmen living and performing there and began playing harp with Honeyboy Edwards.  He also managed Honeyboy and started Earwig Records in 1978.  I’ll talk with Michael about his journey and the progress of the Blues along the way. John D’Amato struggled with illness as a child, and his sister’s guitar became a constant companion.  By the time he was in his early teens, many were recognizing his talents.  His first album, Ain’t No Big Deal, was widely applauded and earned him stage time with B.B. King and an appearance on Joe Louis Walker’s Hellfire.  John and I will talk about his life and career as we listen to tunes from Born Blue-The Sun Sessions. Ivas John comes out of the Chicagoland area and music came into his life through his dad.  Ivas and his band have become a staple throughout the Midwest and they just released their new album, Good Days A Comin,’  I’ll talk with Ivas about his life and career as we listen to some music. Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne returns to The Couch with his latest release, Jumpin’ and Boppin’, which was released on Friday.  We’ll talk with Kenny about what he has been up to since his last visit and we’ll listen to tunes from the new album.
