April 4, 2022 - National Vitamin C Day | Jeep 4x4 Day

Celebrate Every Day - En podcast af Q1 Network

Welcome to April 4, 2022 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate tasty nutrition and the spirit of adventure. As long as humans have sailed the seas, they’ve had to worry about things like weather and staying on course. But no one ever thought about vitamins. In past centuries, one of the biggest threats for sailors was lack of nutrition. It seems like such a simple thing now, but it wasn’t until the mid 1800s that people realized that Vitamin C could prevent scurvy. Today, it’s easy to get your fix. Grab a glass of orange juice or snack on some clementines today. You can even find cosmetics that feature this beauty supplement. On National Vitamin C Day celebrate a supplement that tastes great and keeps you from being a scurvy sailor. Few vehicles have carved out a place in American history quite like the Jeep 4x4. It replaced the horse during WWII and helped the Allies turn the tide! Jeep’s “go anywhere, do anything” ability personified the American Can Do Spirit. To our troops, the Jeep was second only to their rifle in order of importance. Maybe that’s why it still inspires record breaking feats like the pair of Jeep Wranglers that summited a volcano of more than 22,000 feet. Or the Guinness Book holder for the longest parade which included 2,420 Jeeps in Bantam, Pennsylvania. On Jeep 4x4 Day celebrate the vehicle that was made for great adventures. I’m Anna Devere and I’m Marlo Anderson. Thanks for joining us as we Celebrate Every Day Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
