Network Break 319: Arista Unveils Zero Trust Offering; Google Searches For Cloud Profits

Arista Networks announced a Zero Trust offering that has room to grow, Google’s Stadia game streaming service shuts down its in-house game development studio, and Comcast and Cisco team up to deliver Meraki VPN for home workers. IBM is reportedly cutting back on its blockchain business, a Chromium update reduces unnecessary DNS root server queries by 60 billion a day, and Starlink launches 10 satellites with laser links to cover the polar regions. AWS and Google Cloud both released their Q4 and full year results. AWS notched $12.7 billion in revenue for the quarter with 28% growth year over year, while Google Cloud had revenues of $3.8 billion, up 47% year over year.
