Liz ( Day ) Loly - Â How Neurodiverse children have taught me so much. Â Â
As a trainee PE teacher, Liz became interested in dyspraxia and chose to do an assignment about what it is, the effects of it and how to help a child overcome some of the challenges. Then in her first teaching job, she taught a dyslexic boy who she thought was so inspiring and positive in the way he coped with his difficulties. Â Â However, on the first parents evening when Liz said this to his parents, they explained that he regularly cried because he thought he was stupid. Â This developed a passion for ensuring that people with dyslexia and other nuerodiversities knew their strengths rather than being held back by the challenges. Â Â Liz then went on to have her own delightfully dyslexic son who amazes her and inspires her all the time with his different way of thinking and empathy. Â
My aim is to educate, inspire and motivate people to see a different side to Neurodiversty đ Â Â
