Murder trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin begins

Opening arguments have been presented in the trial of the police officer accused of murdering George Floyd in 2020. The death of George Floyd, a black man, after he was restrained by policeman Derek Chauvin, sparked the nationwide protests of the Black Lives Matter movement.
