Andrew's story, and his sister Nicole's advocacy for him have been pulled into the headlines several times since her last appearance on Nighttime. Her families battle for accountability took a big step forward, as a lawsuit against the provincial government has been announced but also, the battle got ugly. An encounter at a dog park between Nicole, and Ian Rankin, the ex premier of Nova Scotia, became of interest to both the local news outlets and the RCMP.
