What We're Watching: Veronica Mars "Betty and Veronica" and "Kanes and Abel's"

These two episodes of Veronica Mars were quite a combo platter of silly high school plots (mascot-stealing in "Betty and Veronica"; petty harassment in "Kanes and Abel's") and some pretty major progress toward solving the mystery of who killed Lilly Kane--as well as the related question of where is Veronica's mom.
