#08 Talking Talent: Europes leading Maitre de Cabine and Air hostess, Susanne Fiebiger, talks travel, passions and people.

"To put my 55 years into words is not that easy. My life is anything but boring, balanced or monotonous; it is and has always been intense, pulsating, not always easy and yet associated with enormous moments of happiness.  My constant credo: nothing is impossible and everything comes well and can be solved. Allowing grief, showing joy and honesty is paramount, even if this is not well received in every situation." - Susanne Fiebiger

Susanne grew up in Lucerne. But from an early age had only one dream: to become a flight attendant.  At that time, Swiss Air was the big goal and everything she did only resulted in the fulfilment of this one goal.

She moved to Brighton for several months to learn English.  French was also a must to be accepted into Swiss Air, so she moved to French-speaking Switzerland,  working as a nurse in a hospital, making money and learning French.

Then in May 1988 the time had come.  Susanne started my training as an Air Hostess.  By 1990 she climbed swiftly through the ranks to become a purser.  By the end of 1993 she was appointed Maitre de Cabine on long haul at only 28 years old and the youngest M / C on the entire SwissAir fleet.

Today, still flying at Swiss Air as a first class flight attendant for family reasons, Susanne is a lady with a great zest for life and with many great stories to tell.
