For the last several decades, there's been a tremendous focus in the world of concussion on areas such as recognizing when a concussion occurs, various diagnostic evaluations, treatment recommendations and determining when it's an appropriate time to return to play sports after a concussion. However, it's only really been the last eight or nine years that there's been more emphasis, at least on a wider scale, of how to help kids in school when they're dealing with their concussion, typically what we refer to as Return To Learn.
