Hantverksbira Podcast, EP 166, Åben Bryg

When Stigbergets Bryggeri recently organized the mini-festival Danskjävlar on Ringön, Åben Bryg was one of the participating breweries. Hantverksbira had a chat with Jack, Senior Brewer at Åben. Åben Bryg started in 2017 in Kolding and moved to Copenhagen in 2022. They have a slightly different approach and many of the brewery's fans are women. Åben is very strong on fruited sours, hazy and lagers. Two beers are currently available in Sweden at Systembolaget. Åben Bryg has opened a number of bars and pubs in Denmark to have control over the entire chain and they have expanded very quickly. As if that weren't enough, they also run an annual beer festival and an annual music festival. This episode is recorded with a lovely background murmur from the beer enthusiasts who visited the event at Stigbergets.
