The adage “opposites attract” ring true in the case of Ali & Josh. Ali describes herself as a high-strung Type A and Josh as more of a low-key Type B personality. Ali was heavily into the big crowds and AP classes, while Josh’s world was centered around sports and working part-time jobs. The two first met in college, where they racked up a combined total of $100K in student loan debt once it was all said and done. And when they began their respective careers, they found themselves pulled between the Dave Ramsy and Rich Dad Poor Dad school of thoughts. Josh was pretty sure on who he wanted to follow, but for Ali, it took more nurturing until she was convinced of real estate as well. So much so, it wasn’t until they acquired their first deal that she fully believed in the power of passive income. And that’s where we meet Ali & Josh in this episode. Their story is one of growing their financial literacy and taking control of their financial future, and doing it both as spouses and partners. Up to date, they are House Hacking their second property. Going Into the next year, they want to acquire more rental units using private money funding.
