From Genetics and Dave Ramsey To Buying Rentals -Sarah King #15

Sarah King tried to run from the nerd life as an adolescent but now  she’s embraced it and built her brand around it. But before she ever  stumbled across real estate, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she  was one of those kids that followed the traditional path. She did well  in school, got a good job, and naturally, got into a boatload of debt.  So for a while, she was a Dave Ramsey fanatic. She realized that while  she lived the “good life,” she wouldn’t really be able to live the life  she wanted if she was tied up with $100K in debt. Eventually, she got  financially on track, picked herself back up, and searched for what was  next. She knew she was unchained to then go out and reach for financial  independence.   And that’s where we meet Sarah in this episode. Her story is one of  resilience and growth. She’s gone through the grind, she’s gone through  separation, and now she’s focused on moving forward.  Up to date, Sarah works a day job as a “medical expert in genetics.” She  owns three units and is selling her other rentals she co-owned prior.  She is looking to purchase more with the proceeds and has made tenant  retention her focus while she House Hacks with her daughter.
