Pip Edwards & Claire Tregoning, Cofounders Of P.E. Nation, On Building A Global Fashion Brand, Disrupting Athleisure And Finding Your Voice

In 2016, former co-workers and forever best friends Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning joined forces and launched their street-meets-sportswear brand, P.E. Nation. While the Australian-based activewear label has garnered a massive following and “It factor” status thanks to its sleek yet functional, fashion-inspired silhouettes and styles, its capsule collection with H&M that launched in March 2020 catapulted them onto the global stage. (The partnership marked H&M’s first collaboration with an Australian-based brand).  The athleisure phenomenon took on new meaning when everyone around the globe leaned into wearing comfortable clothing at home: COVID-19’s lockdown inspired P.E. Nation to launch a genderless, unisex collection, called “UNI-form.”  They have also recently expanded into swimsuits, always inspired by sustainability and street style.  I spoke with Pip and Claire about the evolution of athleisure, how Pip pivoted from a corporate career to fashion founder, how they choose their fashion looks before posting to IG, and finding their voices (spoiler alert: it’s a constant work in progress…) Produced by Dear Media

Om Podcasten

“Share Of Voice” is a podcast about the power of discovering your voice and sharing your truth in the process. Hosted by journalist Karin Eldor, each episode features compelling conversations with the wave makers and game changers on our radar. Less “how I built this” and more “how I make noise,” guests will share how they amp it up in their work. Do they express themselves boldly in their OOTDs or beauty looks, on their social media channels, or in every way, on the daily? It’s about creating ripple effects. Feeling heard. Shaking up the status quo and breaking way out of the boxes that society has imposed on us. We’ll discuss doubling down on yourself unapologetically, and raising your frequency so much that you take up ALL. THE. SPACE. Prepare for inspiring soundbites and mic drop moments, from the disruptors who have made a living from living out loud. You ready to get loud af?
