106: Staying Positive and Even Laugh as an SLP with Dani Newcombe

Do you ever struggle with imposter syndrome?    Many SLPs, myself included, struggle with this feeling of not being good enough. That’s okay though! No one feels like they have it together all the time. It’s important that you self-reflect and remember those times when you knew you did an amazing job. This is the key to powering through those moments of doubt.    Today’s guest on SLP Coffee Talk is Dani Newcombe, and she is such an inspiring SLP to talk to. She has had her fair share of imposter syndrome moments and self-doubt, but she is the master at finding the humor and moments of joy, no matter the circumstance.     Dani Newcombe is a school and private practice SLP in Indiana. She graduated from Loma Linda University in 2018. She is currently on year 4 as an SLP. She owns her own practice, The Messy SLP, LLC,  and you can find her posting videos for comedic relief on Instagram.   It’s okay to not love what you do 100% of the time, and Dani isn’t afraid to talk about the hard parts along with the joyous parts.    Tune in to hear more as we explore staying connected as SLP’s, perfectionism, dealing with feelings of overwhelm, and finding the humor in it all!  Resources Mentioned:  Follow Dani on Instagram Check out Dani’s website Full show notes available at www.speechtimefun.com/106   Where We Can Connect:  Follow the Podcast Follow Hallie on Instagram  Follow Hallie on Facebook Follow Hallie on PinterestSubscribe today and get access to my secret podcast filled with my juicy secrets for planning with ease for secondary speech students. 6 quick episodes that you can quickly listen to and feel refreshed and inspired! https://speechtimefun.com/secondarysecrets
