Episode 129 CHOMP by PYLON with Henry Owings (of Chunklet)

Welcome to Spinning Out -- We talk to artists about their favorite albums and go on wild tangents. Today we're talking with Henry Owings of Chunklet. We talked about Pylon's 1983 album CHOMP. We also talk about the true spirit of DIY & the art of music vs. music as commerce. Henry recently released two books, Plus One Athens and Plus One Atlanta, which chronicles show flyers and stories from both scenes over a 50 year period. I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in the history of music in the southeast. https://www.chunklet.com/product-category/books/ Henry has been releasing zines and albums under the name Chunklet since 1993 and has also worked as a graphic designer for Numero Group, Light in the Attic, and so many others. He's a tireless archivist and someone who truly cares about preserving the history of music in the southeast.
