Rosemary Francis, Ellexus: Being the only woman in the room

After a PHD in computer architecture at Cambridge, followed by a move into the semiconductor industry, Rosemary Francis found herself wanting more. So, she set out on her own to fix the problems she’d encountered during her career. Ellexus was born, creating tools for I/O diagnostics, optimization, and dependency detection for high-performance computing at large enterprises. Things took off around the time she gave birth to her first child, and Ellexus went on to an incredible exit in 2020.
