This week I sat down with Joe Furlong. We chat about the scene in Ireland, synth bass, touring, and everything in between. Joe Furlong is an Irish bass player and musical director from Dublin. Having graduated from BIMM Dublin in 2016 with a BA in Commercial Modern Music, he has gone on to tour internationally as a session bass player, synth bass player, and backing vocalist with a number of Irish acts including James Vincent McMorrow and Sorcha Richardson. This has included shows in such prestigious venues as the Sydney Opera House, The Roundhouse, Webster Hall, and The Wiltern, as well as numerous television and radio performances including; “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “Later…with Jools Holland”, “KCRW” and “BBC Radio One” sessions.
