In Chicago, a young mother allegedly threw her 2-year-old son out of an 11th floor window, fatally stabbed her 7-month-old son, and attacked her grandfather, before attempting suicide. She survived, and is facing murder and attempted murder charges. A Texas man is charged with the murder of his fiancée during an argument, only days after their New Year’s Eve engagement. Finally, in New Jersey, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced that 73-year-old Richard Cottingham, a serial killer, also known as “The Torso Killer”, has confessed to three cold cases from the 1960s. The cases are now considered solved.
