TCBCast Now #3: Top NES Games

The first three (February-March-April 2021) monthly episodes of TCBCast Now, our pop culture discussion experiment, typically Patreon exclusives, are going to be released on the general feed after approximately one month of patron-exclusivity, as a way of giving listeners a sampler of some of the extra content we have on offer for patrons. No foolin'! On this month's TCBCast Now, Gurdip & Justin discuss WandaVision's run, Raya & The Last Dragon, and Justin's playthrough of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. This leads into a discussion of some of the guys' favorite Nintendo Entertainment System games (and what they think Elvis' favorite NES game might have been). Then, for Song of the Week, both guys pick 50s-60s throwbacks from later eras. Gurdip selects the extremely obscure "See You Round Like A Record" by Little Nell, paying homage to 60s girl-groups, while Justin highlights Billy Joel's doo-wop tribute "For The Longest Time," and explores its roots in Mozart-esque classical music.
