Viewpoints: The Futurist and the Fellow: Retail

Retail markets have existed since ancient times and while trading has moved from markets to bricks and mortar, the general consumer experience has remained the same. However, advancements in technology have altered this retail landscape dramatically: Consumers now can take their products home without exchanging money. Further, they can order bespoke items online and have them delivered to homes by drones. This is the future of retail. In this episode, Geof Wheelwright is joined by industry futurist Matthew Griffin who will describe what he believes the retail experiences will look like in the future. Joined by Arm Fellow Rob Aitken, the conversation covers a number of topics, such as the opportunities available for retailers, areas technology will enhance traditional approaches and the potential security concerns that may arise.
